Inpatient practitioner psychologist (Clinical/Counselling/Forensic)

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical/ Counselling/ Forensic) or a more recently qualified Practitioner Psychologist seeking a preceptorship role to join the in-patient service at Berrywood Hospital for adults of working age within Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT). This service offers psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for people over the between the ages of 18-65 years with difficulties including Complex Emotional Needs and Psychosis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work alongside an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team to:

  • Offer assessment, formulation and intervention for a wide range of presentations using both individual and group approaches
  • Support the development of the Structured Clinical Management (SCM) pathway for adults living with personality disorder
  • Support the development of a psychosis pathway for adults living with psychosis / schizophrenia.
  • Offer Case Formulation, reflective practice and training sessions for staff teams to extend psychological ways of working, including reflective practice.
  • Offer enhanced assessment for more complex presentations
  • Collaborate in using outcome information to inform and develop good practice.
