Main duties of the job
About the Role
As a Band 5 Physical Health Nurse, you'll work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to residents. You'll be involved in emergency response, screening, vaccination clinics, and nurse-led care delivery across the prison.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care
- Conducting assessments, triage, and risk evaluations
- Administering medications and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in audits, clinical governance, and service improvement
- Supporting junior staff and contributing to team development
