Job summary

Our Business Development team is looking to recruit a skilled individual who wants to work with us within to deliver outstanding project management.

Our Project Manager is a core member of our small team. Working flexibly across the Group (LPT and NHFT) you will work on a range of specific projects including Bids and Tenders, you will lead some projects, and you will support others. Our work covers 4 main areas; business development, this includes:

Working in partnership internally and with other stakeholders to deliver joint services

Working internally and with other stakeholders to ensure we have strong governance systems and process for delivering joint working

Bidding and retaining our existing services if they are procured

Identifying new opportunities to win new business.

Main duties of the job

  • You must have a high attention to detail; Microsoft Office skills and be willing to work flexibly across different locations across Northamptonshire and Leicestershire and occasionally in the East Midlands.
  • You will possess excellent communication skills, organisation, creative and forward thinking in a varied and fast paced environment.
  • You will understand project management and analyse information and provide reports to the management team on the status and progress of projects.
  • You must have demonstrable skills of working in partnership, with experience of handling confidential and commercially sensitive information.
  • We expect a typical week with us, you could be supporting a project helping with the writing of a proposal or reviewing previous learning. You could be leading projects or supporting others to help us become more successful in the future, attending internal team meetings where you represent the Strategy & Partnership team, and representing NHFT and LPT alone at partnership meetings with other organisations.
  • You will be joining a small and busy team. We encourage you to get to know us as part of your application. Our team support both LPT and NHFT to deliver our new Group THRIVE Strategy.
  • You will report to the Head of Strategy and Partnerships, and work closely with all the team including, David Williams, Executive Director of Strategy and Partnerships. You will line manage the Strategy and Partnerships Business Administrator.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Work with the Strategy and Partnerships Team across both LPT and NHFT to ensure delivery of agreed projects and programmes of work including Bids and Tenders.

Work with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to identifying and monitoring bid development, transformation and improvement programmes within Strategy and Partnerships.

Work with directorates/teams to ensure full clinical engagement, ownership and implementation of transformation and improvement and in the development of new Bids and Tenders.

Contribute to increasing project management capability and capacity within the Trust by providing a range of support to a range of staff/colleagues; including facilitating and delivering designated Leadership matters training, such as: Bids and Tenders, PMO Project Management and Leading Successful Change.

To work together with staff within the team, some of which you may line manage, to develop and grow the team ethos.

Contribute to the development and delivery of the Group strategy and develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement the strategy.

Contribute to strategic development of Group transformation programmes, developing Group wide policies, procedures and governance arrangements where appropriate.

Be a role model for positive change management behaviours.

Ensure any change management programmes are focused on the needs of the target audients, to deliver positive outcomes.

Develop a partnership approach through the delivery of bids and tenders, projects and programmes.

Responsible for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of a range of information in relation to projects/programmes.

Responsible for ensuring that the relevant impact assessments and other project documentation is completed at the relevant stages of projects/programmes (following the NHFT/LPT PMO Framework).

Ensure project plans are in line with the overall strategic direction of the Group.

Ensure full implementation of these plans through effective performance management arrangements.

Responsible for the line management of designated staff within the team.

Act as a champion for project/programme management and transformational change.

Lead on change programmes and Bids and Tenders on behalf of Strategy and Partnerships, providing training and advice to senior managers and directorate leads as required.

Lead on broader areas of service improvement and transformation on behalf of Strategy and Partnerships, ensuring that change management resulting from service improvement and transformation is delivered
