Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Clinical Administrator to provide a full and confidential secretarial and administrative service to Consultant Psychiatrists and their team within the area of Adult Mental Health Inpatients.

Main duties of the job

A wide range of secretarial and clerical skills will be required to support the smooth running of day to day operational issues for the supporting the clinical teams, thus enabling a whole team approach with the aim of providing outstanding compassionate care.

The post-holder will be required to work as part of a team with other Clinical Administrators and team members and provide cross cover during periods of staff absence. The post-holder will need be flexible in their approach and use initiative and judgement to organise their own workload.

  • Hold an RSA Level three/Speed typing qualification or demonstrable experience (min 60 wpm)
  • NVQ in Administration level 3
  • Experience of providing administration and secretarial at a senior / executive level

Desirable

  • Shorthand or speed writing
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS
  • Previous experience of System1
  • Band 3 Administration Experience
