We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic analyst, with excellent analytical skills in effectively engaging with a range of stakeholders. This role involves supporting the implementation of the quality surveillance and improvement framework across the Trust. The role includes support for implementation of data collection systems and working in partnership with Business intelligence Teams to allow for the triangulation of quality information from board to ward, the development and implementation of an early warning system to identify areas of concern, and providing support within the improvement agenda including monitoring the impact of change.

The post holder will escalate areas of concern identified by early warning systems to key stakeholders including the Quality Improvement Business Partners to allow targeted prioritisation of improvement projects, reporting and analysis and provide technical expertise to stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for the timely collection and reporting of various types of data
  • Be required to maintain systems for recording electronic and manual information supplied by NHFT staff and staff from other NHS organisations
  • Checking data for quality and completeness and entering the data into various databases, and electronic files, communicating shortfalls as appropriate
  • Perform routine analytical tasks and support other members of the team in their roles by preparing, cleansing, and checking data
  • Prepare routine reports and support the timely execution of team processes
  • To act as technical advisor on Microsoft functionality and data analysis
  • Provide analytical and technical support to staff with aspiration of enabling staff to undertake their own analysis
  • Working closely with both the operational teams and also other corporate services within and outside the nursing directorate to implement data reporting flows to support internal and external reporting
  • Support the development and submission of data returns for key stakeholders
  • Support the quality contractual reporting process and the internal operational reporting schedule and be Involved in monitoring and improvement of the quality of Trust submissions and benchmarking of Trust data against National publications
