Whilst previous experience of working within a Gender Identity-related field is desirable, it is not an essential criteria for application. The successful applicant will have a track record of outstanding operational and managerial achievements, have excellent written and oral communication skills, paired with the ability to maintain a diplomatic and compassionate approach in emotionally charged scenarios. The post will be suitable for a qualified health professional with a minimum of five years post qualification practice and have previous experience of operationally managing a multidisciplinary team.

The GIC works to provide a full care and treatment pathway in the specialist field of Gender Identity and Dysphoria for adults across England & Wales. This pathway is determined by NHS England commissioning with clinical standards defined by the Royal College of Psychiatry.
