Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is pleased to announce an opportunity to apply for the substantive post of Head of Healthcare at HMP Littlehey. This is a category C prison housing men convicted of a sexual offence. HMP Littlehey is situated in the village of Perry near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire with ample free parking on site.
The Head of Healthcare at HMP Littlehey will oversee all aspects of the healthcare service including the primary care, substance misuse and mental health teams, GP provision and subcontracted services comprising of optical, physio, podiatry, psychosocial and pharmacy.
We are looking for an experienced senior manager with an innovative and enthusiastic approach to service improvement and development. You will be a registered nurse (or hold an equivalent healthcare qualification) or be an experienced manager with robust operational experience.
Ideally you will have experience in a secured setting, although this is not essential. You will provide day to day management and leadership to an established clinical team and have oversight of multi-agency working with a wide range of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will join the Cambridgeshire senior team which includes HMP Whitemoor as well as the wider Secured Services Directorate. You will report directly to the Head of Specialist and Secured Service Cambridgeshire and be accountable to the Assistant Director of Specialist and Secured Services.

- Engagement with patients to benchmark outcomes and evaluate patient experience
- Develop, implement and monitor care pathways that ensure highest quality care
