Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent position of an Assistant Occupational Therapist to join our Core CAMHS team based in Northamptonshire.
Core CAMHSis a part of NHFT, a county wide CQC accredited Outstanding trust offering mental health services to children, young people and families in Northamptonshire.
The team offer a wide variety of interventions, assessments and treatment plans in line with their commissioning aims, to provide early intervention and support to children and young people. This role will support in treatment plans for young people referred into Core CAMHS and work with young people to achieve their goals, using activity that will help to increase their ability to function in activities of daily living.
The role will be of assistant, and as such, will require the applicant to have experience in working in mental health services. This role may also include working in partnership with other statutory agencies including social care and other relevant agencies.

Main duties of the job
To work across CAMHS according to the service's practices, ethos and responsibilities.To support in treatment plans for young people referred into Core CAMHS.To receive and evaluate referrals for the specific project and assess suitability for mental health or offending intervention.To complete assessments to identify interventions that would be most appropriate.To work with young people to achieve their goals, using activity that will help to increase their ability to function in activities of daily living.To provide direct support and advice to young people and their families, and to professionals.To arrange, action, deliver and review intervention plans with young people and their families.
To plan and deliver group interventions within the project scope and identified areas of competency.To work with senior staff to apply evidence based practice or best practice in the work setting.To assist senior staff in undertaking projects and see them through to completion within agreed timescale.To monitor outcomes using accepted outcome measures, and ensure these outcomes are fed back to children/young people and theirfamilies/carers appropriately.To represent the service at meetings with partner agencies, with other local statutory and voluntary organisations and within the local community
