Job summary

Primary Care Nurse / Paramedic, Band 6.

We are seeking a qualified experienced nurse to work within an integrated healthcare model.

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player who works closely with patients, the health care multidisciplinary team and the prison service to ensure comprehensive and Trauma informed care is provided to patient

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will undertake various duties within the prison setting, including acting as a responder to emergencies, screening oatients, triage and working in partnership with other agencies to provide care.

Previous experience of working in a prison is especially desirable, but not essential. You will benefit from an extensive supernumerary period, access to a full range of training and be encouraged to develop your skills within this role.

Essential

  • 1.RGN / RMN on the NMC register or Paramedic on the HCPC register
  • 2.Be educated to post graduate degree level or 18 months post qualification experience
  • 4.Have experience of data collection, audits and report writing.

Desirable

  • 3.Have experience and knowledge of working in a secure environment
  • 6.Have experience of managing groups of staff, dealing with staff issues and managing performance, sickness and conduct matters

Skills

Essential

  • 3.Have excellent written and oral communication skills, ensuring contemporaneous healthcare records are maintained.
  • 12.Be able to work in a fast paced, multi-level environment

  • 9.Actively participate in and support clinical audit and clinical governance systems at a local level, including the collection of data
