Job summary
The Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Programme Management Office (NHFT PMO) is seeking to recruit to a 12 month Fixed Term Contract/internal secondment opportunity for a Transformation Manager to support the development and delivery of projects and programmes of work across the Trust and beyond.
The post holder will provide senior management and leadership support to the Trust in the successful delivery of a range of transformation projects and programmes that contribute to the delivery of the Trust's Strategy, Value Programme, responsibilities to the NHS Long Term Plan and The Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership (NHCP).
The ideal candidates will have a positive and engaging approach to be able to encourage involvement, apply robust project methodology and ensure that the process of change is well managed and results sustained. Knowledge and a wide experience of the theory and practice of project management, change management and service development tools and techniques is essential.

We offer hybrid working, with the main base being at St Mary's Hospital Kettering, but with opportunity to work form home or any other Trust site. The successful applicant must be able to travel independently across the trust's sites/across Northamptonshire.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the delivery of projects/programmes that will support the Trust to develop and deliver its responsibilities to the NHS Long Term Plan and Integrated Care Northamptonshire.
- Responsible for the delivery of a range of projects/programmes that will support the Trust to deliver its strategy and priorities.
- Have a strategic overview of the Trust and the interdependencies of different directorates/services/partners to ensure overall efficiency and savings are met and financial risk is minimised.
- Responsible for teaching/training/supporting managers and staff within the organisation to use project management tools, complete project documentation, deliver projects and to analyse and interpret data to build capacity across the Trust
- Responsible for building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and for negotiation with and appropriate influence of relevant stakeholders for each project/programme
- Work closely with the Head of PMO to ensure all programmes of work are coordinated and complementary
- In conjunction with the Head of PMO and the Transformation Programme Leads work in partnership to embed a programme management culture through the organisation, realising savings and ensuring that sustainable change is embedded into everyday operational business.
- To provide senior management and leadership support to the Trust in the delivery of a range of transformation projects/programmes.

Essential
- A Master's degree or equivalent Post Graduate qualification or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
- PRINCE2, Lean, Six Sigma or other Project Management course or qualification.
- An understanding of service improvement and transformation tools and how to apply to different programmes. Knowledge of programme management and the use of programme management tools
- Proven significant previous experience in project/programme management related to service redesign/improvement
Desirable
- Experience of managing and leading on change programmes, ideally within the NHS.
- Experience of line management

- Effective project management skills including the ability to adjust and revise complex programmes/plans at short notice.
- Ability to work/evidence of working in a fast paced and challenging environment where frequent change is expected.
