Job summary

To provide effective administration support to the Clinical Administrators and their designated Clinical/Medical staff within CAMHS (Children's and Adolescent Mental Health Services). Supporting to maintain an effective office system(s) for the delivery and maintenance of medical appointments/reviews, being flexible and use own initiative to organise and prioritise own workload, within a busy work environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Support with telephone calls for appointments and general enquiries, passing any queries as needed to appropriate Clinical Adminstrator
  • Send appointment letters and confirmation texts.
  • Telephone contact with families when required, for instance to rearrange appointments if necessary, convey messages from clinicians and liaise with other agencies (ie schools and referrers)
  • Open post and scan any paperwork received, ensuring clinically urgent requests are passed to the appropriate Clinical Administrator
  • Support with maintaining SystmOne Rotas.
  • Adhoc administrative support to the wider Team, including Reception Cover.
