The applicant must have strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to balance conflicting priorities. You must be confident to communicate at all levels and have an attention to detail, being able to maintain high standards of work whilst under pressure to meet deadlines.

Your work with the Trust CQC Team will be diverse and you will be focused on embedding new systems and processes to improve performance against CQC standards across all trust services.

This post is within a small team and will be based at Campbell House in Northampton. Although there will be opportunities to work from home. However it will be necessary to travel to various locations across the County.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be reporting to the CQC Lead and will be required to provide project and programme support for the Crystal Programme, and other programmes and projects including quality improvement relating to the CQC team's responsibilities. The project manager will be required to provide project support in terms of meeting with senior leaders, planning and preparing content for meetings, managing risk logs, management and the monitoring of action plans and the Quality Surveillance Report. The project manager will need to develop their understanding of the regulatory landscape and the work of Ofsted and the CQC.

The project manager will work closely with other corporate services and operational teams as part of the trust's work to deliver on our "always ready" agenda supporting staff and the organisation on regulatory compliance and preparation for inspections.

  • Educated to degree or equivalent relevant training and experience
  • Experience of project management and methodology
  • Able to engage and communicate effectively with people at all levels, including a high standard of written communication
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages i.e., Word, Powerpoint, Excel to prepare reports and presentations
  • Knowledge of the CQC and their role in regulation and imminent changes
  • An interest in Quality Improvement and an understanding of methodology

Desirable

  • QSIR Associate (or willingness to complete training to become Associate)
  • Project Management qualification
  • Excellent customer service track record

  • Ability to plan workshops and meetings and maintain project documentation
  • High level of interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues. Ability to deal with delicate and confidential matters using sensitivity and own judgement.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise own workload. A proactive decision maker, problem solver and manages competing priorities whilst co-ordinating projects and day to day workload. Can act up in absence of CQC Lead.
