Leisure Assistant - Hydrotherapy Pool

Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and professional Lifeguard to join our team at the Hydrotherapy Pool. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, as the role involves regular interaction with patients, service users, and members of the public.
Applicants must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
The post holder will work a shift pattern aligned to service requirements of the hydrotherapy pool.
Shift Patterns:o Monday to Friday: Morning and afternoon/evening shiftso Saturday and Sunday: 09:45 - 17:00
This is a lifeguarding role based at the Hydrotherapy Pool, supporting a wide range of therapy-led sessions and private hires. The post holder will work collaboratively with lifeguards from Odstock Health & Fitness Centre to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Main duties of the job
- Safeguard patients and service users using the hydrotherapy pool, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained swimming environment at all times.
- Support the promotion and marketing of memberships and services where appropriate.
- Assist with the cleaning, routine maintenance, and upkeep of the hydrotherapy pool, associated facilities, and changing areas.
- Work in accordance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
