The Plastic Surgery Outpatient department have a Band 5 Registered Nurse position, 37.5 hours per week (not set days) opportunity.
The shift pattern is 4 days per week, 8am to 5pm.
We are seeking a Band 5 nurse who has current plastic, surgical or wound care experience with at least one years' current nursing care experience in these specialities. As the role involves supporting our minor op theatres, the successful candidate will ideally havesurgical scrub skills for supporting our minor surgical and emergency trauma lists. However, if you do not have these skills, full training will be given.You should have current NMC professional registration, previous surgical or plastic nursing experience, evidence of continuous professional development and a teaching and assessing qualification.

Main duties of the job
Some of the nursing skills needed for a fast paced working area such as Plastic Surgery Outpatients are:
- The ability to work both independently and as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team
- Supporting and assisting your consultant colleagues in the smooth running of their clinics.
- Acting as a chaperone.
