Newly Qualified Nurse (Students 2025)

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust

The closing date is 20 May 2025

Job summary

Applications open exclusively to Student Nurses who are graduating in Summer 2025.

Congratulations! You've almost reached that finished line and obtained your qualifications and registration. You're now going to be looking for an organisation that recognises the pivotal moment this next step is, and we believe Salisbury District Hospital could be the place for you.

Here at Salisbury, our patients are at the heart of everything we do, and we believe that our nursing workforce is vital to ensuring that we provide an outstanding experience to all. In order for you to give your patients the best possible care we as a Trust need to support and guide you as you transition from student to autonomous practitioner. Our focus is on developing your skills and knowledge, offering dedicated support from our preceptorship programme both with your peers and a named preceptor and welcoming you into a place that is vibrant and friendly, where all members of the team work together to deliver the best possible care.

Main duties of the job

Our preceptorship programme is designed to support and develop you in your first year as an NMC registrant. All learning is individual, however it is envisaged that a 12 month programme will allow you to further develop your clinical, professional and reflective skills, which will assist you in becoming an autonomous and competent practitioner.

We're looking for nurses to join teams across our Trust in adult nursing and are currently recruiting to all specialties. If you don't know at this stage where you want to work, we offer rotational posts within the same Division or these can be cross Division rotation.

It is really important that you specify in the supporting information section on your application the areas you're most interested in working in. Please can you list your 3 preferred areas/specialties. Can you also state whether you are looking for full or part time work on qualifying.
