Job summary

Main duties of the job

This role is part of the wider Inclusion and Wellbeing Team. The postholder will have the opportunity to improve the experience of both patients and staff at SFT through championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) throughout the Trust to inform positive change. This position is a key enabler in the delivery of the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT) Equality, Diversity and Inclusion long-term plan to make Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust the Best Place to Work.

As an exemplar site for the People Promise, the post holder will support the Head of Inclusion and Wellbeing in the delivery of its long-term plan for EDI alongside helping the Trust to meet all legislative requirements within the European and UK equality and human rights legislative framework to ensure that EDI is at the heart of everything that we do.

The post holder will support the Trust in being compliant with national guidance and best practice for inclusion by supporting, developing and implementing effective inclusion initiatives and engaging and supporting the staff network groups. There will also be a responsibility to maintain up to date EDI resources on the intranet and support the delivery of the annual Inclusion & Wellbeing Calendar of events within the Trust.

The post-holder will be required to work both independently and as part of a team and be flexible to the changing needs of the Trust.
