Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Devices Technician to join our Medical Devices Management Services team to help support our new ward opening Spring 2024.
The Medical Devices Management Service (MDMS) is a small, cohesive, friendly, and very responsive department responsible for all things medical equipment. It is a well-functioning team supporting the hospital, patients, and staff in providing access to high quality, well maintained medical equipment.
Main duties of the job
This role will involve working with all medical equipment used throughout the Trust. As an entry level role, you will be given full training to undertake the servicing and maintenance of a wide range of medical equipment. You will be required to work both in a workshop environment and in clinical areas. There will be interaction with patients, staff, and company representatives to ensure the equipment is maintained to the standards required.
In your role as part of Medical Device Management Services team you will be providing a professional technical maintenance service primarily for medical electronic equipment throughout the hospital. Ensuring work complies with agreed standards, current legislation, and codes of practice.
You will provide an efficient, courteous, and timely service to all medical device users within the trust.
