Job summary
SFT have an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant , welcoming workforce in audiology. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and clinically excellent audiologist or clinical scientist with exceptional leadership qualities who has an interest in leading and shaping paediatric audiology services.
We have an established team of paediatric audiologists and are looking to recruit a lead clinician to shape and direct the service as it expands.
The position will entail leading and strategic development of the paediatric audiology service in addition to participating in other specialist areas of audiology such as vestibular testing, tinnitus and BAHA.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an experienced paediatric audiologist and have some experience in other specialist areas of audiology such as vestibular assessment and/or bone anchored hearing devices.
The primary focus of the position will be the development of paediatric audiology services for the Trust and this will involve conducting and leading clinics, development and ratification of standard operating procedures, participating and leading clinical audit and quality assurance processes.
The successful applicant will work closely alongside the head of service and other speciality leads in providing an efficient and safe service to our service users.
There will be opportunity to shape how the service is run, ranging from appointment formats, usage of specific tests, provision of specific hearing aids or other hearing solutions and participation in regional peer review groups and forums.
