Job summary
The role will provide leadership to our SACT CNS and AOS team. Working collaboratively with members of the SACT steering group and wider team the Lead SACT Nurse will ensure high quality, safe and effective SACT nursing services and SACT delivery at SFT.You will work work clinically providing nurse led SACT services including pre assessments and pre treatment assessments.
The role will be split working 1 day clinically in Nurse led SACT clinics and 3 days leading the SACT and AOS service.
Main duties of the job
The Lead SACT Nurse will work in collaboration with professionals to give appropriate specialist advice, support and education in relation to all aspects of SACT and the Acute Oncology Service and its related issues. This is to ensure patients and their families receive sound clinical research based care and have timely access to the SACT services and emergency treatment.
