In this role, you will play a key part in assuring compliance with radiation safety legislation and the provision of a high standard of care and clinical practice for patients and staff. Using specialist equipment across the Trust, including the DEXA scanner, you will work with colleagues to ensure appropriate referrals and scans are performed.

Successful candidates will have HCPC registration and experience in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is desirable.

Main duties of the job

Working enthusiastically and collaboratively within the Medical Physics and Radiology teams to provide routine QA and acceptance checks on imaging equipment, including dose optimisation and investigation of problems. You will be encouraged to be involved with service development to ensure compliance with legislation, e.g. IRR ad IR(ME)R, and to undertake research and audits. Being part of the wider Clinical Science and Engineering department there are also opportunities to contribute to other healthcare science and clinical measurement initiatives.
