Job summary

Our incredible midwives make a huge difference to the life changing experiences for parents and families here at Salisbury Maternity Unit. As you start your professional career, you are likely looking for an organisation that can offer a preceptorship programme with dedicated support from peers and your named preceptor to help your transition from student midwife to autonomous practitioner. We recognise the pivotal moment this step is and offer an exciting opportunity for you to join a newly developed progressive team in the Salisbury Maternity Unit.

At Salisbury, our focus is on supporting and developing your skills and knowledge in the Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postnatal areas within the new preceptorship programme as a newly qualified midwife. We offer group preceptee days, clinical supernumerary time and clinical shifts with your preceptor during our 12 month programme as you enhance your skills in our inpatient settings.
