The Oxfordshire Complex Needs Service (OCNS) have a rare and exciting opportunity to recruit a part time Band 5 Assistant Team Therapist.
We are looking for a reliable, resilient and hard working individual who has knowledge about personality disorder and an interest in working with with adults with personality disorder and in groups.
OCNS provides group psychotherapeutic interventions for patients who are diagnosable with moderate to severe personality disorder, and this role will involve participating in the co facilitation of a variety of group interventions within the service, including low and medium and high intensity interventions (e.g. therapeutic skills groups, or intensive exploratory groups such as therapeutic communities). You will support the delivery of treatment using a variety of models such as psychoanalytic, CBT, Action Methods or MBT.
Main duties of the job
The post will involve work across the different tiers of the clinical model, throughout Oxfordshire.
Responsibilities of the post include:
- Treatment of patients using a variety of models according to clinical need and service approach e.g: conducting groups using various therapeutic approaches such as psychoanalytic, CBT, Action Methods and MBT etc
- To work with clinical supervision according to the protocols of the service
- To function as a co-worker with clients
- To promote the service through participation in professional networks and committees locally, nationally and internationally as agreed
- To be able to organise and plan one's own workload in association with service constraints/commitments
