Are you looking for a new role as secretary for a fast paced Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a team secretary within the Ashurst Ward, Littlemore Mental Health Hospital, Oxfordshire.

Ashurst is a PICU Ward (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit).

We have a great team staff working within admin. We help enable the Doctors and Nursing Staff to concentrate on patient care by providing accurate and efficient admin support.

This role provides administrative support to Ashurst Ward, the Consultant, the Doctors and the Clinical Ward Staff whilst working within the current admin team ,

This is a full time role, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (37.5 Hrs) per week.

Main duties of the job

The overriding duty of this role is to provide secretarial support to the Ashurst (PICU) Ward.

  • Managing the admin diary, along with your own, booking ward rounds for the Consultant and Doctors, using the telephone with good communication skills.
  • Sending and receiving of emails.
  • Acting accordingly upon the content each email.
  • Daily use of word and excel documents, creating and updating.

You will need to be able to communicate with people in a confident and positive manner as you work closely with the Ashurst Team on a daily basis. You will be speaking on the telephone, so a good telephone manner is a must.

This role requires use of all of the essential Microsoft Packages and working on our Rio systems which holds all patient data. You will be using all systems daily so a good understanding of they systems would really help.
