We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Lead to join our dynamic Adult and Older adult mental health inpatient services. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role that combines clinical excellence, team development, and service innovation.
We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a qualification in Mental Health Nursing, clinical supervision training, and experience in acute inpatient care. You should have strong leadership and communication skills, and be confident in managing clinical risk and supporting staff development. The ability to work a 24-hour shift pattern, including nights, is essential
Main duties of the job
You will act as a clinical leader and role model, supporting the nursing team through supervision, education, and development. The role also involves supporting the provision of 24-hour care and ensuring clinical accountability across the service. In addition to your role as clinical lead in your designated area a core part of your role will be you forming part of a working night roster of clinical leads across the inpatient services within OxBSW. Working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies, you will help ensure responsive and appropriate care for patients, families, and carers.
- Engage with patients and families.
- Lead nursing team development and preceptorship.
- Facilitate training, supervision, and reflective practice.
- Support learning from incidents and complaints.
- Lead Quality Improvement and reduce restrictive practices.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and care planning.
- Participate in Mental Health Act assessments.
- Develop risk management and crisis plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services.
- Maintain accurate records and ethical practice
