We are recruiting for a full-time Specialist Practitioner within the CAMHS Outreach & DBT team. This post combines clinical & leadership responsibilities, supporting the Operational Lead and DBT Lead in delivering specialist services for young people with moderate to severe mental health needs. The post-holder will contribute to service development, staff supervision, clinical audit, and high-quality care pathways, while holding a clinical caseload and delivering all components of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A), including participation in the phone-coaching rota & evening groups.
Working with the DBT Lead, you will help develop the DBT-A model within the Outreach Service and across Oxfordshire CAMHS. You will manage a caseload across DBT and Outreach pathways and take an active role in service development, supervision, and training.
You will participate in the DBT phone-coaching rota (8.00am-8.00pm, Mon-Fri), contribute to DBT groups, and provide DBT-informed training and supervision across CAMHS and inpatient settings. The role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and adherence to professional, safeguarding, and governance standards.
Main duties of the job
- will hold a mixed caseload overing DBT and Outreach young people
- completing Assessment, formulation and interventions with young people and families.
- taking an active part in service development, namely DBTA
- offering formal and informal supervision to clinicians
- keeping up to date with relevant research/legislation and delivering up to date training.
