We are looking for a full time Senior Mental Health Practitioner who shares these attributes. Located beside the beautiful Savernake forest, our base is an easy commute with plenty of free parking and birdsong is the soundtrack to our working day. The work can be challenging at times, but is always varied, interesting supported and rewarding. This is a perfect for an experienced Nurse, or Social Worker/OT, Or a band 5 on a preceptorship development post for newly qualified nurses. There will be the opportunity for further training based around individual learning needs.

Main duties of the job

  • The assessment and treatment of young people presenting to mental health services with a wide variety of mental health needs with differing complexity and challenges.
  • Doing everything to keep our young people safe and where necessary implement our safeguarding arrangements.
  • Putting the young person's voice at the centre of everything you do.
  • Work with families, other services and agencies involved with the young person.
  • Use supervision and Routine Outcome Measures to guide and progress the young person's treatment.
  • You will also participate in covering the service's 24 hour on call service on a rota basis

We are looking for a flexible individual, who works well in a close knit team, as well as someone who has excellent IT and organisational skills.
