We are seeking a full time Deputy Manager to support the in day-to-day operations and clinical leadership. You will supervise staff, oversee performance and absence management, and help monitor key performance indicators. You'll also contribute to service delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and innovation.
Early Intervention in Psychosis is an innovative, evidence-based model. Our teams support service-users aged 14-65 experiencing first episode or early psychosis, and their families, for up to 3 years. We are committed to delivering excellent care and continually improving our service.
This role requires strong leadership, a dynamic and motivated approach, and excellent knowledge of health and social care policy in mental health. You'll carry a reduced caseload and support clinical work, ensuring EIP interventions are delivered in line with national guidance.

Main duties of the job
This is a specialist multi-disciplinary community team so there is an expectation that you have experience of working with people with lived experience of psychosis. Early intervention in Psychosis is a dynamic, innovative and evidence-based model that works within the remit of national targets.
As the deputy you will have a reduced caseload and you will be expected to support the team manager with input into service evaluations and audits as well as carry out the managerial responsibilities of appraisals, managing sickness/absence and training for staff. Innovation, a creative approach and being a positive role model is essential. The team consists of several professionals which include: nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and psychologists who you will be expected to line manage directly.
- Support the Team Manager in daily operations
- Provide clinical supervision and leadership
- Ensure timely delivery of EIS interventions
- Contribute to service improvement
- Liaise with partner agencies
- Act as Duty Manager (with full shadowing support)
- Deputise for the Team Manager as needed
