Job summary

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care for adults with complex mental health needs?

We're looking for an experienced psychological professional whether you're a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, a BABCP-accredited CBT Therapist, or another qualified psychological therapist to join our friendly and supportive team in South Buckinghamshire. Please note this role is part-time working 22.5 hours per week.

You'll join a well-established, supportive team of psychologists and psychotherapists committed to innovation and excellence. We offer expert clinical supervision, a wide range of CPD opportunities, and the chance to contribute to service development, research and training. Our new High Wycombe hub is just a short walk from the mainline station, making commuting easy.

Main duties of the job

As a member of a specialist Psychological Therapies team, you will work closely with colleagues in our CMHT and in-patient teams as well as the newly develop Primary Care Community Mental Health Hubs. You will also liaise with and support psychological therapists working at earlier steps in the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway. You will work with the Clinical Lead, Locality Leads, Team Manager and your team to ensure that the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway achieves its key objectives of delivering integrated, safe, accessible, responsive, effective and caring services to people in Buckinghamshire.

You will provide psychological assessments and interventions for adults with severe and/or complex mental health problems, their families and carers. You will provide supervision and management support to other psychological therapists and consultation and guidance to our colleagues in the CMHT. You will have excellent communication skills and will participate in multidisciplinary risk assessment, formulation and care planning. You should be able to demonstrate your experience, skills and qualifications in evidence-based approaches in specialist adult mental health settings, this may include for example CBT or third wave approaches / Schema Therapy / EMDR / DBT / MBT / CAT. You will ensure the service you provide is of a high quality and meets national guidance as well as meeting local and nationally agreed targets.
