Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work permanently within the Health, Safety and Security department of a forensic secure service. We are looking for an individual with an interest in health, safety and security to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will have excellent communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude. You will be expected to be dynamic and committed by actively contributing to and supporting health, safety and security with a forensic mental health setting. You will be part of a dedicated health, safety and security team who is incorporated into a multi- disciplined structure.
Main duties of the job
The Oxford Clinic is a medium secure forensic mental health facility comprising of three wards with 42 beds across all three wards. Many of our patients have had experience of the criminal justice system in the past, and will be subject to a detention under the mental health act. While not working directly with patients you will be contributing to a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment.
While working as a Health, Safety & Security Lead you will be responsible for the safety within the clinic, using the See, Think, Act version 3 as a framework.
There is an expectation that you will be involved in security awareness training of all clinical professionals within the service, where training will be provided.
You will be required to liaise with staff at all levels and to demonstrate a dedicated approach in providing a high quality service.
