CAMHS in BSW is committed to having a well trained workforce, so alongside the standard CPD, we offer internal training on all aspects of CAMHS work ranging from working with risk/gender to engaging young children through play. We welcome applications from those willing to take the step up into an 8a role and we would support you with the relevant training and supervision to continue your development.
Marlborough CAMHS is located on a hill overlooking the town, adjacent to the historic Savernake Forest. The site offers free parking, an on-site caf, and a calm, welcoming environment.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a high quality specialist child and adolescent psychotherapy service to clients with complex mental health problems including severe, enduring and multiple disorders, and challenging behaviour.
- To offer advice, consultancy and supervision, and support the work of other CAMHS staff providing psychological treatment.
- To participate on the local CAMHS duty rota and undertake emergency assessments when and where required (i.e. community, hospital site, children's homes)
- To provide training to a range of qualified and unqualified staff across mental health areas, as agreed.
You will be part of an experienced and reflective multi-disciplinary team offering generic and specialist assessments and treatment as well as providing complex case consultations. As well as individual child psychotherapy, we also offer parent child relationship focused interventions, parent infant psychotherapy and STPP.
We operate an out of hours service, but for this role you would be expected to work in office hours 9-5. Most of your appointments are likely to be offered at our base in Marlborough, but there will be some travelling for community and school visits, we also offer appointments and consultations on line via Teams. Applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a car for work, if necessary adjustments can be made in line with the equality act (2010)
