Job summary
Are you seeking a clinical leadership role in developing Paediatric dentistry within the Oxfordshire Community Dental Service (OCDS)?
You will work closely with the Clinical Director, and will be responsible for the provision of advanced clinical care to children with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, mental health problems, medically compromised, severe anxiety or phobias and other disability or conditions that directly or indirectly affects their oral health.
You will provide advanced clinical care to children in line with the defined complexity levels 1, 2 and 3a as detailed in the Commissioning Standards for Dental Specialities - Paediatric Dentistry. This will include sedation and general anaesthesia, domiciliary care, provision of oral health care to those in local secure settings, screening and epidemiology and oral health promotion.

Theywill be expected to take the lead on the delivery of care to paediatric patients and will need to travel to sites as required. The post holder will be involved in the development, line management, training and supervision of dentists.
