This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual with experience in mental health community to further develop your managerial and leadership skills whilst continuing to undertake varied and more complex clinical work, with a good split between managerial and clinical work.
This is a senior role within a well-established, multidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community.
Main duties of the job
AsDeputy Team Manager for the North & West AMHT, you will support theConsultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead)andTeam Manager (Operational Lead),to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providingday-to-day management and clinical supervision to staff, and supporting the ongoing development and performance managementof the team.
- Undertakingclinical duties, including duty shifts, conducting assessments and managing a small caseload.
- Liaison with other services and stakeholders as required, often acting as a link person for complex situations
- Acting asDuty Manageron a rota that does include weekends and out of hours working (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility).
- Deputising for theTeam Manager as required
We are also part of a University teaching hospital and students may sometimes accompany professionals at appointments.
