This role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary.
We are recruiting Staff Nurses to join the multidisciplinary team at Glyme Ward, our medium secure rehabilitation unit at the Oxford Clinic.
You'll contribute to the recovery process for our patients as well as maintaining the high standards of care whilst working within a safe, secure and supportive environment. The role involves working with dedicated members of the MDT in implementing and evaluating individual patient care plans by working alongside the patient to support their recovery journey.
Glyme Ward is a medium secure unit providing 17 bedrooms for male patients based at the Littlemore Mental Health Centre site in Oxford. Within our 17 beds we support 2 patients within our own ward based 'flat' where service suers are supported in growing independent living skills. Many of our service users have had experience of the criminal justice system.
We are looking for individuals with an interest in rehabilitation and recovery within forensic services. To succeed in this role you'll have excellent communication skills, a caring, non-judgmental, and inclusive attitude and be committed to the delivery of safe, high quality care.

Main duties of the job
- Make a systematic and comprehensive assessment/ re-assessment of client need within the CPA framework
- Plan, implement and Evaluate Care, working as a primary nurse.
- Coordinate Care Programme Approach Meetings
- Produce reports for CPA, Managers Meetings and Mental Health Review Tribunals
- Participate in Individual and Group Therapies
- Develop effective risk management plans, and timely review of the risk management plan identifying opportunities for positive risk taking in conjunction with the client, carers/significant others and the ward team
- Undertake a Carer's Assessment and develop Carer's care plans
- Demonstrate knowledge of medication effects, side-effects, indications, contraindications and recommended dosage.
- Work with clients with concordance issues and promote client choice.
The role involves working a rotating shift pattern of early, late, Long days and night shifts to cover our 24 hour 7 day a week service. Please note if you are based outside of the UK you will need to be fully qualified, have already passed your OSCE and have an NMC pin number in order to be considered for this role.
