Are you a passionate and experienced Dietitian ready to lead and innovate in stroke rehabilitation? Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Clinical Lead Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at the Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (OSRU).
About the Role:As the Clinical Lead Dietitian, you will provide expert clinical leadership and deliver a highly specialist, evidence-based dietetic service for patients recovering from stroke. You will manage a complex caseload, lead on service development, and support the professional growth of junior staff. Your expertise in nutrition support, dysphagia, and stroke rehabilitation will be vital in shaping patient care and outcomes.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
o Lead the dietetic provision for OSRU, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care.o Manage and assess complex nutritional needs, including enteral feeding and risk feeding decisions.o Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapists, to support holistic care planning.o Deliver training and mentorship to junior staff working across our Community Hospitals.o Contribute to service development through audits, policy implementation, and quality improvement initiatives.o Represent the dietetic service at stroke-specific and Trust-wide forums.What We're Looking For:o HCPC registered Dietitian with a BSc (Hons) or postgraduate diploma in Dietetics.o Significant experience in stroke rehabilitation, nutrition support, and dysphagia management.o Strong leadership, communication, and clinical reasoning skills.o Experience in teaching, supervision, and service development.o Ability to work flexibly and travel across clinical sites as needed.
