BSW CAMHS In Reach Clinical Lead Specialist - Placement support

Job summary

We're offering an exciting permanent opportunity within the Wiltshire CAMHS In Reach team! As a Placement Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role supporting foster carers, SGO carers, and adopters through specialist consultation, therapeutic group work, training, and individual support.

This is a part-time role (3 days a week - Mondays plus Wednesdays and/or Thursdays), with a blend of in-person work across Wiltshire (especially the South) and remote flexibility.

We're looking for someone with experience working with children looked after, informed by attachment and trauma-based practice. Knowledge of Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) or similar trauma-focused approaches is highly valued.

You'll work closely with the Local Authority and other professionals, contributing to meaningful change in the lives of children and their carers.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a high-quality specialist therapy service to carers of looked after and adopted children supported by Children's Social Care and Adoption West.
  • To provide consultation and support to team members across Children's Social Care and Adoption West who deliver assessments, care and interventions.
  • To provide training to a range of staff in Children's social care.
  • To attend strategy and multi-agency meetings for young people identified open to the Wiltshire In- Reach team to contribute to the multi-agency planning and response.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
  • To utilise research skills for audit and contribute to research and training within the areas served by the teams and service.
  • To be involved in the development of this service as appropriate.
