We are recruiting an ACP registered Psychotherapist to work with our Children and Young Person's mental health team (CAMHS)in Buckinghamshire.
You will be part of an experienced and reflective multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatry, psychology, social work, mental health nursing and family therapy. We have a supportive child psychotherapy team in the service, which meets regularly and work collaboratively.
You will have a protected child psychotherapy caseload, as well as offering generic and specialist assessments. You will offer a range of psychotherapy interventions including individual child psychotherapy, STPP, State of Mind Assessments and parent-child relationship focused interventions. The MDT values psychoanalytic thinking and you will have the skills to make thoughtful contributions to MDT both in wider team meetings and through consultation. You will receive regular clinical supervision from our principal child psychotherapist, as well as management.
In addition, you will be part of a team of child psychotherapists across Oxford Health Trust who meet regularly to share our work and consider new learning.
We currently have a hybrid (remote) working model, with days spread across home and our bases in High Wycombe and Aylesbury.
Main duties of the job
- To holding a protected child psychotherapy caseload, offering assessments and a range of psychotherapy interventions including individual child psychotherapy, STPP, State of Mind Assessments and parent-child relationship focused interventions and have the confidence to work autonomously.
- To undertake generic assessments and case management.
- To support a trainee's development.
- To contribute to MDT thinking in MDT meetings as well as via consultation.
- To receive regular clinical supervision from our lead child psychotherapist, as well as management supervision.
- To support the duty provision, by undertaking the role of duty on a rota basis as shared out within the team.
