We are looking for a Community Public Health Nurse to join our 0-19 Child and Young Person Public Health Service, working within the Healthy Child Programme. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment while making a real impact on the lives of children and young people.

A full training package will be provided, as will opportunities to develop your career and skillset further. We are able to offer this part time, term time role, with a complete training package and a preceptorship programme. Main duties of the job

As a Community Public Health Nurse, you will:

  • Support children and families across a variety of settings, including schools, health centres, and homes.
  • Work closely with primary and secondary schools, delivering public health initiatives on emotional wellbeing, sexual health, safeguarding, and managing medical conditions.
  • UndertakeHealthy Child Programme assessments and contribute to health promotion activities.
  • Work in partnership with families, schools, and agencies to improve health outcomes.
  • Actively engage in safeguarding processes under the supervision of a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).
