The Childrens Bladder and Bowel Service are welcoming applications for the role of Team Administrator. To be successful in this role you will need to be competent in the use of Word, Excel and other Microsoft packages, have a good telephone manner and great office management skills, demonstrate a team player mindset but also be able to work independently whilst showcasing initiative.

The role will require you to accurately input data and maintain database information systems.

You will be the main point of contact for children, young people, their families and other organisations contacting the Childrens Bladder and Bowel Service.

Main duties of the job

You will be the first point of contact for our service users and partner organisations. You will take confidential and sensitive information while processing the information on the team's electronic database.

You will be pivotal in arranging and booking clinics across Oxfordshire. This includes making and cancelling patient appointments as necessary.

You will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure all referrals are processed efficiently, data entry is accurately gathered and recorded and the service has administrative support.

You will also liaise with Health Care Professionals, external organisations and our local GP surgeries.

You will have:

  • Strong IT skills, we will provide you training on our Electronic Patient Record System EMIS.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a pleasant and polite manner.
  • An ability to work as part of a larger team and use your own initiative on when to seek guidance and support.
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to remain calm when working under pressure.
  • An ability to travel to other sites across Oxfordshire for work purposes, as required.
