Job summary

We're recruiting for an Associate Director of Nursing Workforce & Regulatory Standards to join our clinical leadership team as an ambassador for outstanding clinical care and workforce development within our nursing workforce.

This is a key role within the Chief Nurse's senior team where you'll hold responsibility for several programmes of work and be the Trust's point of contact for all NMC and CQC activity and communication.

You'll drive forward our corporate work programme, aspiring to deliver exceptional experience to patients across the Trust in line with our values to be Caring, Safe and Excellent, through achievement of our strategy and quality indicators. This will include focusing and delivering on key Trust-wide priorities.

In this pivotal role you'll ensure safer staffing and the development of a career framework for nursing, underpinned with strong systems for clinical practice and leadership development for all nurses through the implementation of our Nursing Strategy.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide continual oversight and monitoring of the Trusts compliance with all registration requirements with the CQC.
  • Take lead responsibility for the management of all information requested by the CQC and manage collation, review and return of information in an agreed timely manner.
  • Support the Chief Nurse with coordinating any inspection work and monitoring the implementation of any action plans following inspections or any other regulatory activity.
  • To work with the Chief Nurse to ensure inclusivity and diversity are achieved at all times through programmes of work such as the The Restorative Just and Learning Culture programme
  • Development of the Nursing workforce alongside the Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Nurse and other professional leads, to deliver high quality safe care across all our services
  • Working closely with the learning and development team to develop a career progression framework which retains our clinical workforce including continued professional development and clinical education for all nurses, and support workforce
  • Oversight of safe staffing and workforce safeguards as set out by NHSE/I
  • Providing high quality written reports
