We're looking for a Team Manager to join the Buckinghamshire Mental Health Support Team. This is a new and exciting time to join a developing team - you will be able to shape it's expansion and growth, and be able to make a real difference.

The role will include a mix of service development, line management, liaison and linking with the University of Reading alongside taking a clinical caseload once settled within the role. In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the new expansion to the west is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.

Main duties of the job

  • To work autonomously as either a Mental Health Practitioner or LI CBT Therapist taking a small caseload..
  • You will be responsible for supporting the Operational Lead in expansion of the service and deputising as appropriate.
  • Line manage and clinically supervise trainee EMHP's, qualified EMHP's and EMHP supervisors.
  • Responsible for ensuring members of the team have essential skills required to provide evidence based psychological assessment and interventions.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy, psychological therapy With Provisional/Full Accreditation with the BABCP for High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CAMHS) OR Qualified CWP/EMHP with experience OR A registered doctoral level qualification in clinical/counselling psychology with current HCPC registration
  • Completion of LI CBT Supervisor training or willingness to undertake this when in role

Experience

  • Post qualification experience in a mental health setting, working with young people with mental illness.
  • Experience of mentoring and providing clinical supervision.

Desirable

  • Experience and understanding of working within the education setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have serious mental illness and their families and carers in the community

Knowledge

  • To have ability to assess client need, with regards to both mental health and/social needs.
  • To have ability to manage a case load

Desirable

  • Qualified as LI CBT Supervisor
