Job summary

We are excited to invite applications for the position ofSenior Research Associatewithin the Thames Valley Specialised Children and Young People's Mental Health and HOPE (Healthy Outcomes for People with Eating Disorders) Provider Collaboratives. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the evaluation of mental health initiatives across our PC.

As a Senior Research Associate, you will take on a dynamic role that requires you to be a trained senior clinician with extensive experience in both mental healthcare and clinical research. We seek someone who can work independently, adapt flexibly to various situations, and bring a creative approach to their work. Your academic background should include a PhD, a history of first-author publications in high-impact journals, successful supervision of doctoral students, and a proven track record of securing research grants and funding.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse and talented multi-disciplinary team. Together, you will assess the outcomes of various interventions designed to enhance mental health services for children, young people, and adults. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving forward the quality and effectiveness of these vital services.

Main duties of the job

Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility ensuring governance guidelines are maintained across the Provider Collaborative.

Demonstrate expert research and audit skills with evidence of scientific publications.

Propose policy and service development recommendations (including transformation projects, preparation for service reviews, improvements of psychological care pathways) as relevant and in collaboration with the clinical leadership team).

Lead grant applications.

Ensure that audit and ethics approval processes are followed.
