Job summary

As our AHP Rotation Lead you'll oversee recruitment, coordination, organisation and provide pastoral care to AHP rotational staff at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

You'll be working closely with AHP Leadership, Clinical Teams, HR, Recruitment and Learning and Development teams to identify and develop educational resources required for rotational AHPs. You'll oversee the current rotations, including band 5 Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetics and Band 6 Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. You'll also lead the development of further AHP rotations, including other professional groups and expansion of existing rotations.

Main duties of the job

  • To lead the coordination of the rotational posts for the AHP workforce, including recruitment, pastoral support and CPD opportunities and aligning structures and governance across the AHP professions.
  • Ensuring an effective recruitment, onboarding and induction process for the AHP rotational staff, supporting them through their transition into their posts.
  • Providing pastoral support to the rotational AHPs.
  • Working with our clinical teams and rotational staff to develop a robust governance, structure and process for the AHP rotations.
  • Working with the recruits and their clinical managers to understand any clinical or non-clinical gaps in knowledge and develop a competency/education programme which can be used for all rotational AHPs.
  • Working with our AHP Leadership team, Learning and Development team and profession leads to embed any necessary training and induction needs for rotational AHPs.
  • Collaborating with our AHP preceptorship lead to ensure the programme is successful and appropriate for our rotational AHPs.
