We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and well-motivated; Receptionist. You'll need to be capable of working in a busy and challenging environment tackling a wide range of responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
The ideal candidate is a friendly and professional individual with exceptional communication skills and a welcoming telephone manner. You'll be key in maintaining confidentiality and ensuring smooth daily operations and excel in organisational skills and punctuality. An understanding of security protocols in a secure mental health setting would be a real benefit for the role.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a safe, polite and efficient reception service to visitors and staff.
- Responsible for security at the airlock entrance - including signing in visitors and patients on and off the unit,ensuring contraband items are put in lockers at the entrance and maintaining general unit security.
- Answering the phones and transferring to the appropriate person, recording messages accurately, respondingto queries appropriately, following Trust procedures and protocols.
- To maintain working relationships with a range of individuals including the staff of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and of other Trusts and hospitals, users and carers ofthe service and the public and other professionals.
- Managing emergency situations: directing emergency services to required areas and assisting in the evacuationof staff, patients and visitors
You will be required to work 5 shifts over 7 days. These are day shifts (Early 06.30-14.30 and Late 14.00 - 22.00) and will incorporate some weekends.
