Job summary
Are you a recently qualified OT looking to develop your skills and experience across a wide range of physical and mental health settings?
We are looking for OTs to join our established and sought after Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation.
This role will require you to travel countywide across the Trusts sites on a regular basis You must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
Main duties of the job
Our rotation offers a unique opportunity to work in a mix of clinical areas across physical health, mental health and various specialist services. The rotation currently includes:
Adult Mental Health (inpatient)
Adult Learning Disability (community)
Forensic Mental Health (inpatient)
Stroke Rehabilitation (inpatient)
Older Adult Mental Health (inpatient)
Older Adult Mental Health (community)
Community Therapy Service (community)
Community Hospital rehabilitation (inpatient)
The rotation is focused in and around the city of Oxford, with some rotations based in the community hospitals around the county. Each rotation is for a period of 8 months.
In each rotation you will work within a team to assess, plan, treat and review patients with a range of physical and mental health conditions. Different settings use different clinical models or frameworks suitable for their area, which you will be supported to develop your understanding of. You will also be supported to work through specific competencies to evidence your developing skills in each specialism.
