An exciting opportunity has arisen in the North and West Oxfordshire Mental Health Team (AMHT) for an experienced Mental Health Professional (MH Nurse/ OT/Social Worker) to join our Leadership Team as a Team Manager
You will join our other Team Managers to lead this busy and diverse team, which covers the large Geographic area of West Oxfordshire, this area includes Witney and Chipping Norton as well as numerous smaller towns and villages.
Main duties of the job
This post offers you the experience to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering a wide range of services to people with a variety of mental health needs, working closely with our Partner agencies and other third sector and statutory organisations .
The AMHT's main base is in Witney where the post is based but will, when needed, work across the locality. The AMHTs work within the FACT model and provide a 7 day a week service covering the hours of 7am - 9pm.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who has a strong focus on service improvement, quality , development and integrated working within the locality. Previous experience of managing a mental health team is essential.

You will need to be able to effectively set priorities and work in a busy environment. You will need to have well established leadership skills and experience in management of clinical teams. You will need to have excellent communication and liaison skills to engage and collaborate with a number of colleagues and stakeholders across the services.
Please note:
- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
- Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
