We are delighted at the prospect of recruiting a Support Worker to join our supportive and innovative Getting More Help (GMH) team in the Buckinghamshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. GMH is part of Buckinghamshire-wide mental health and well-being service which is designed to provide young people with expert help from one easy access point and is and run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

To support and enhance the clinical care of patients and their parents/carers within Buckinghamshire Getting Help - High Intensity (GH-Hi) Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS); whilst they are on a treatment specific pathway; e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), medication management, Short-term Family Therapy and Psychotherapy, etc.

To offer timely liaison with both internal and external partners, families signposting opportunities to support recovery, and parent & carers psychoeducational sessions to improve understanding.

To work directly with children, young people and families to ensure that they are well engaged in their CAMHS service offer.
