- Experience of the process for Triaging new referrals by supporting senior clinical staff
The Psychological Therapies Team includes highly experienced, friendly, approachable psychological therapists from all modalities, who are all extremely compassionate about supporting patients with serious mental health problems and supporting other staff to gain this experience.
Wehave excellent links with the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health and Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training, which is hosted by the Trust. We actively encourage innovation and research with opportunities for collaborations with the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry. We also collaborate with Oxford Brookes University, Buckinghamshire New University, and the University of Bath.
We provide regular monthly opportunities to contribute and participate in regular reflective practice meetings, team supervision, and training events. You will be supported with regular supervision from a clinical psychologist and senior staff.
Main duties of the job
- Supporting senior clinical staff to triage new referrals and liaising with referrers, admin and patients with outcomes.
- Providing key support to our external online therapy provider to ensure all online therapy is recorded in our patient records and any concerns with patients wellbeing or queries regarding their treatment, are escalated to senior clinicians.
- Involvement of the service evaluation process including the collection and recording of patient questionnaires (PROMS).
- Assisting senior clinical staff to deliver patient therapy groups and classes and updating patient and staff therapy information materials.
Role 1: based mainly in North Oxfordshire (Witney or Banbury) and has a particular focus on service evaluation for both Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire services. As well as the collection of patient questionnaires (PROMS) this role also supports the services development and providing evaluation reports and presenting these at staff meetings in both counties.
Role 2: based in Oxford City (Warneford Hospital) and will be the primary link for the South Oxfordshire Triage, working with the senior south clinicians to review new referrals and manage the outcomes.
