We are looking for an Administrator to join our friendly Childrens Community Nursing service based in Oxfordshire.

Main duties of the job

This is a pivotal role within the Community Children's Nursing service including the Hospital at Home service. The role involves working alongside the acute paediatric service, processing referrals, and supporting the Hospital at Home team in the community. The role also includes acting as an initial contact with parent's, carers and professionals seeking advice and support from the CCN service, via both telephone and email. You will take confidential and sensitive information while processing the information on the team's electronic database. This is a busy and rewarding role and you will be contributing to the overall patient experience of the service.

You will work closely with your Manager to ensure all data entry is accurately gathered and recorded. The role offers the opportunity to provide administrative support for all staff within the CCN team including working with the multiple agencies.

The role requires you to have strong IT ills, excellent written and verbal communication, with a pleasant and polite manner. You will work as part of a larger team and use your own initiative on when to seek guidance and support.

The children on our caseload have a variety of chronic and acute conditions and require nursing support such as enteral feeding, long term ventilation and symptom management. The support we provide includes empowering families to care for their child's health needs at home, providing respite sessions, delivering acute and palliative care outside of the hospital environment, and supporting children at school.We are commissioned to provide all these services within each of our four localities.
