Job summary
The Community Rehabilitation Service in Oxfordshire provides care for patients within 8 Community Hospitals wards which are located in Witney, Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Bicester and Oxford. The service works closely with Health and Social Care partners across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire to ensure a seamless journey for patients from admission through to discharge putting the patient at the centre at all times.
The Community Hospitals adopt a strong multi-disciplinary approach and provide compassionate care for patients who require bed-based rehabilitation care. Our wards include generic Rehabilitation beds, palliative care, provision of bariatric care, Emergency Multidisciplinary Unit beds and the Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation unit.
Main duties of the job
The Community Rehabilitation Service in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced nurse leader to provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership across the Service. You must be a strong and confident nurse leader with the ability to encourage, develop and empower our clinical teams. The Senior Matron will be part of an inspirational and motivational team, working closely with the Head of Service, Matrons, Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Lead Allied Health Professional and Medical Lead, assuring the delivery of safe and excellent care.
The Senior Matron's key role will be to ensure clinical quality standards are achieved by providing inspirational and visible compassionate leadership to the nursing teams, team management and support in delivering changing priorities to meet the operational needs of the Services. The post holder will also be expected to be the lead for designated projects and areas of work which reflect clinical, professional and corporate objectives, which impact beyond the scope of their own service/speciality.
The Senior Matron will role model and promote inclusion at every level, ensuring equity, helping all staff to grow, sharing knowledge, ensuring diversity is positively valued and developed across our teams.
The interviews will be held on Friday the 22nd of March in Oxfordshire, please note due to the nature of the role these will be offered in a face to face capacity only.
