A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in the Staff Psychology Service within the Occupational Health team. The Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trusts Occupational Health team plays a pivotal role in the health and wellbeing of all our colleagues. The Occupational Health team is a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team committed to caring in a safe and excellent way to help achieve the ambition to be the best place to work.
We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated psychological practitioner who is passionate about providing and maintaining high quality compassionate psychological care to NHS staff. You will be leading and developing our expanding service and providing clinical leadership for the team to deliver a stepped care model of psychological therapies delivered to OHFT staff members.
We are keen to appoint someone who is passionate about innovating services whilst delivering the highest quality care possible; and providing support to the occupational health/organisational development MDT and wider Trust. You will oversee psychological assessment and intervention for staff members presenting with a full range of psychological difficulties and will receive regular supervision from the Director of Psychological Professions.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have extensive experience as a clinician in the field of psychological trauma, to provide clinical leadership to the team, be able to demonstrate excellence in delivering clinical supervision and ensure safe systems are in place for the team to work effectively. You will have skills in working with complex and comorbid presentations across a range of adults including PTSD and occupational trauma.

The Staff Psychology Service was launched at the beginning of 2022 in response to a growing need to offer support to staff members with psychological difficulties related to experiences in the workplace and workplace incidents.
As a developing team, there will also be many opportunities to shape the ongoing development, evaluation and monitoring of the teams operational policies and services, supporting more junior colleagues, and contributing to Trust-wide initiatives by providing expert advice. You will collaborate closely with colleagues within the Occupational Health team to provide specialist psychological advice and guidance, working autonomously to manage your own caseload in addition to the strategic development of the service. There will also be opportunities to develop working relationships with the trusts, Organisational Development and wider Staff Wellbeing functions.
